Working alongside talented stable mate Jazz Song, who has also been confirmed for a trip to Queensland, price told RSN he is confident the Sebring colt will handle the opposite way of going, and will use the Group 2 BRC Sire’s Produce Stakes (1350m) as an indicator for the major Group 1 J.J. Atkins (1600m) on June 7th.

“They worked reverse on a wet track on the inside grass yesterday and they were perfect” Price said.

“You don’t need to do a lot; 1000 metres, home a really soft two (furlongs – 200m) just to see how they’d go reverse way and they were both perfect.”

“If he races well up there he’ll run in those two and have a break, but if he said that I’ve had enough then he’ll spell up there” Price said of Pressing’s path this preparation.

Yet to be defeated in his two competitive starts to date, Pressing has more than stamped his claims as a two-year-old to watch over the 2014 Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival; comfortably claiming the Mindy Green 2.y.o. Plate (1200m) first-up before repeating the dose when finishing nearly four lengths in the clear of Petrology in the Listed Mt Dandenong Stakes (1200m) last time out.

As a result of his so-far flawless record, Pressing is currently sole occupant of the second line of betting for success in the 2014 J.J. Atkins on June 7th, offered at a generous early quote of $6.

Breaking through to claim the season opening Group 2 Champagne Classic (1200m) at Doomben on May 10th, Brazen Beau is currently outright favourite for success in early betting markets for the 2014 J.J. Atkins at $3.20 odds. is currently offering the best odds on all major two-year-old races throughout the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival, including the J.J. Atkins!
